Devon Midias punishes his opponent. Midias was a force Monday night winning with a 18-4 major decision.
The JV Crusaders wanted to follow in the footsteps of their Varsity counterparts. With a win over the Schalick Cougars, including seven match decisions they did just that. Stephan Saunders pushed the Crusaders up another six points with his pin 53 seconds into the second period. Nick Borelli also added six points to the Crusader tally with his pin with 40.8 seconds left on the clock in the second period. Corey Amwake bagged his match with a pin with 16.2 seconds remaining in the first period. Although the JV Crusaders were dealt a series of losses in the middle of their line up, they ultimately overcame the Cougars bite and were able to ride home with a victory.

Crusaders Trounce Schalick Cougars 37-15
By: Anthony Lindner

Anthony Baldosaro commands his opponent, winning with a pin in the second period.
The Delsea Crusaders brought their A game on Monday night. Losing only four matches, Delsea arrived at victory with a final score of 37-15. Boasting a total of three pins for the night, there was little the Cougars could do to stop the "Big Red Machine." Richard Lindner-Jackson won his match for the heavy weights with a 7-0 shut out. He physically dominated his opponent and officially introduced his opponent's nose with the wrestling mat, making sure they were well acquainted throughout the six minute bout. Scott Kronberger earned the Crusaders six points with his pin 37 seconds into the first period. Paul Pierson also posted six points with a pin with 1:04 left on the clock in the third period. The Crusaders seemed unstoppable and certainly, the Cougars didn't have the stuff to dismount the Delsea Crusaders.

Crusaders Power Through Dragons
By: Anthony Lindner
2008 Jan 23
Rob Jillard proves his skill Wednesday night, winning by a major decision.
Coming off their first loss of the season, the Crusaders proved Wednesday night that they are still a very dominant force. Collecting five pins through the night, the Crusaders looked sharp and determined. However, the Dragons did pose a threat through some critical matches, including a loss in the heavyweight category. Fedechko started the night strong, earning Delsea 6 points with his pin with 1:13 left in the third period. Baldosaro finished his opponent with a pin as well. Not to be outdone, DeWoody, Kronberger, and Anderson followed suit, each earning 6 points for the Crusaders. With their showing Wednesday night, Delsea proved that a single loss will not be the thread to undo their near perfect season. Final: Delsea: 37 - Kingsway: 27

Chris Halikman proving dominant Saturday afternoon in the JV heavyweight match.
The matches were few and short. The JV Crusaders faced a total of seven matches, ending six of them with pins, a fairly impressive showing. Not to mention that five of the six pins were in the first period. The Falcons only match win was a minor decision. Final: Delsea Crusaders: 36, Oakcrest Falcons: 3

Delsea Finds No Competition Against Colts
By: Anthony Lindner
2008 Jan 28
Showing no mercy is Richard Lindner-Jackson, the heavyweight wonder from the Delsea Crusaders.
It was a "no worries" night this past Monday. Only giving up 9 points, the Crusaders trampled the Cumberland Colts. With six pins and two technical falls, the wreslters from the varsity Crusader squad really showed their superior ability. Kronberger, Jillard, Borelli, Pierson, Fedechko, and heavyweight Lindner-Jackson each made short work of their opponents, earning Delsea six points with their pin falls. Baldosaro and Reger each mastered their opponents with technical falls. Opponents are going to need to bring more to the table in order to put a stop to the Crusaders. Final: Delsea 61, Cumberland 9

Crusaders Clinch Conference Championship!
By: Anthony Lindner
2008 Jan 30
Dan Sawyer rolls his opponent to his back, winning with a pin fall.
Wednesday night, the Delsea Crusaders secured their conference championship with the defeat of the Clearview Pioneers. Once again, Delsea came out strong and there was nothing the Pioneers could do to stop them. Kronberger continued his pin streak that I now have tracked to 6 consecutive pins. It's impressive feats such as this that have pushed the Crusaders to the top of their conference. DeWoody, Sawyer, and Jillard also contributed six points each with their pin falls. I tip my hat to the excellent coaching and support staff and the talented wrestlers of the Delsea Crusaders. Final: Delsea 54, Clearview 14.
